Please review the retainer agreement below. By agreeing to the terms and completing your payment, you will retain our legal services.
THIS AGREEMENT is made between Law Offices of Albert Goodwin, Albert Goodwin, Esq., referred to in this agreement as "attorney" and "we" and you in order to set out the terms and conditions under which attorney will represent client.
Attorney agrees to represent you in drafting your Last Will and Testament. Attorney also agrees to draft and execute a Health Care Proxy and Springing Power of Attorney, if needed. The services will include drafts of the documents by email and an in-person will signing ceremony at our office.
The fees for the said professional services will be $2,000.
The nature of Estate Planning requires a good working relationship and a high level of trust between lawyer and client. If either party feels at any stage that they are not well matched, either party can end the relationship by notifying the other in writing. The client would be obligated to pay for the legal work provided before this written communication and then would be entitled to take this legal work with them to new legal counsel.
In the unlikely event of a fee disagreement, all parties agree to submit to arbitration by the New York State Court System Attorney-Client Fee Dispute Resolution Program.
These terms are hereby agreed upon and accepted this day. You represent that you have carefully read and fully understood every word in this agreement and agree to its terms and conditions, and agree to faithfully comply with them.
